Georg Schubiger elected as new President of the VAV

At an Extraordinary General Meeting on 22 June 2026, the members of the VAV elected a new leadership. Georg Schubiger, Co-CEO of Vontobel, becomes the Association’s new President. He succeeds Giorgio Pradelli, CEO of EFG International, who is set to take over as Chairman of the Swiss Bankers Association. Stefan Bollinger, CEO of Julius Bär & Co. Bank, becomes the new Vice-President.

Alexander Classen, Chair of the Board of Directors of EFG International, and Marcel Rohner, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) SA, have also been newly elected to the Board of Directors. All these appointments will take effect on 18 September 2026.
