Pascal Gentinetta appointed as new Managing Director of the VAV
The Board of the Association of Swiss Asset Management and Wealth Management Banks (VAV) has appointed Pascal Gentinetta as the association’s new Managing Director. He previously held this position from 2014 to 2024 and will assume his duties on 1 January 2027.
Pascal Gentinetta is Head of Public Policy & Stakeholder Management at Julius Bär and, thanks to his previous roles as CEO of economiesuisse and Managing Director of the VAV, possesses extensive experience in the field of economic and financial centre-related policy. He succeeds Manuel Rybach, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at EFG International, who has successfully led
the association over the past two years during a period of significant regulatory change.
Until Pascal Gentinetta takes up his duties, Manuel Rybach will head the Office. He will then focus on his role as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at EFG International and will also support Giorgio Pradelli, former President of the VAV and, since mid-September, Chairman of the Swiss Bankers Association, in his new role.
